More beautiful -- who can say "better"? -- than the Grand Canyon in northwestern Arizona is Monument Valley in northeastern Arizona.

Part of the Navajo Reservation, Monument Valley is home to the buttes and mesas that many associate with all of the Wild West, John Wayne movies and Road Runner cartoons. Even if your camera accidentally snapped a picture there, the shot would be a classic.

The Navajos are darn friendly, too!
