Since 1988, I have covered the Microsoft beat on and off, and announcing a product to induce others to wait to buy a competitor and slow down their sales is old hat.
It has usually worked, though. Almost always. But I look around and see a saturated iPOD market. Every kid on the street has this.
Is Microsoft thinking of marketing this to Microsoft Office buyers?
Bet me, bet me, bet me it's won't be in stores by Christmas. But the posters and spec sheet will!
